In 2024, the board in Williamson had 18 members, which means there were enough personnel for six panels. Despite the massive growth of the county, there had only been 16 members since 2020, until finally getting a bump to 18 in 2024. Members of the ARB are each experts in appraisal and property taxes, so their time is valuable. Each member is paid from the same budget as WCAD is, albeit at a fraction of what the CAD gets. The highest paid members got $250 per day, the lowest $190 per day, and the median was $220. These were all above the average pay seen in Texas, albeit not too much higher.
